We’re pleased to announce the opening of our new office serving the greater Peterborough region. At the same time, we’re increasing our service offerings throughout other Ontario regions and welcoming new people and expertise to our growing Pinchin team.

Dale Wiebe heads up Kenora office, welcoming new and existing Pinchin clients. “The past several months as Branch Manager at the Kenora office have given me an appreciation and an understanding of many of the environmental assessment, hazardous materials and indoor air quality issues faced by northern clients,” Dale Wiebe. Phil Brearton, who is Operations Manager of the Building Science group, says, “Every aspect of your building’s structure—from exterior cladding, roofing and glazing to environmental systems—needs to be assessed to determine the most cost-effective repair and maintenance strategy.” Read more.

New Peterborough Office
Our recently opened Peterborough office will focus on Hazardous Materials, Occupational Health & Safety, Indoor Air Quality and Microbial Contamination services. Mike Wilson, B.Sc., who will head up the office, has been with Pinchin for almost a decade as a Senior Project Manager. Mike has managed numerous projects on indoor air quality, asbestos removal and mould abatement, as well as lead-based surface removal projects.
“I’m looking forward to working with both new and existing clients in the Peterborough region,” Mike says. “Our team has a wealth of experience to bring to a wide range of clients, from small manufacturers to large educational and health care institutions. Pinchin’s Kingston Office Welcomes Expanded Team and Increased Service Offerings
Larry Backman, B.Sc.S., who leads both Kingston and Ottawa Pinchin offices, is pleased to offer Kingston and area clients a wide range of expanded services.
Larry is a leader for the company in Financial Due Diligence and has managed thousands of environmental liability and due diligence assessments across North America. He has extensive regulatory experience and looks forward to assisting clients with all of their environmental consulting needs.
Mike Harrett is the Kingston Operations Manager for Hazardous Materials and Transactional Due Diligence. Mike is particularly knowledgeable in local building code application and by-laws, and inspections of site conditions.
Ian Murdoch, CET, rounds out Pinchin’s Kingston team as a Project Technologist in the Hazardous Materials and Transactional Due Diligence group.

Pinchin’s Waterloo Office Now Offers Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation Services.
Paul Loney, P.Eng., who has been with Pinchin’s Waterloo office for the past year, and whose extensive experience includes over 500 Phase I Environmental Site Assessments across Canada, numerous remediation and decommissioning projects, as well as financial due diligence expertise, expands on the Waterloo office’s strong Occupational Health & Safety service focus.

David Gardner Brings Unique Combination of Occupational Health & Safety Expertise to Hamilton Office
David Gardner, M.Sc., M.Eng., M.B.A., CESM, CRSP, ROH, Senior Occupational Hygiene and Safety Consultant, recently joined Pinchin’s Hamilton office, offering a wide range of consulting services to clients.
David has experience in both the private and government sectors: he has written and enforced provincial labour health and safety legislation, and in his most recent position as a senior manager for a national industrial and transportation firm, he developed a practical, risk-based approach to ensuring the safety of staff and the public while fulfilling all regulatory requirements.
He has a unique educational background, holding a Master of Engineering (Occupational Hygiene) degree; a Master of Science (Health Behaviour); and a Master of Business Administration. David is also a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), a Certified Environmental Systems Manager (CESM), a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), and a Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH).

“We offer expertise on a local and regional basis backed by a national network, and I invite our clients to contact me to discuss any of their concerns.” Dale is a licensed Professional Engineer since 2004 and has experience with Pinchin Environmental working with clients in the fields of indoor air quality and Microbial contamination, hazardous materials and environmental due diligence and remediation. He has experience with turnkey project management and administration and is an accomplished presenter, providing various on-site training seminars for clients.
