A First in Canada ! – The Pinchin Environmental Legionella Analysis is now ELITE Certified by US Centers for Disease Control

Pinchin Environmental is pleased to announce certification in the analysis of Legionella bacteria by the prestigious Environmental Legionella Isolation Techniques Evaluation (ELITE) program of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The Pinchin Environmental Microbiology is the first non-US laboratory to receive CDC certification. The purpose of the ELITE program is given on the ELITE home page:

"Labs that perform adequately receive a Certificate of Proficiency that indicates that the lab's procedures are consistent with (US) federal recommendations and that they meet or exceed typical industry standards for recovery of Legionella."
