Course Overview
Pinchin’s asbestos awareness course offers a thorough yet concise overview of asbestos uses, health hazards, and regulatory requirements. This course is designed for anyone who may encounter asbestos in the workplace or home, as well as those who are involved in health & safety or administer Asbestos Management Programs.
Important Note:
The scope of this course is awareness-level only, and does not provide sufficient training to perform work in a high risk containment. Please refer to the Alberta Asbestos Abatement Manual for classifications of asbestos work operations or contact us if you need guidance.

Instructor Bio(s)
Chris Taylor, EET, ROHT
National Practice Leader – OHS, Western Canada
Mr. Chris Taylor is the Regional Practice Leader for Western Canada and NW Ontario in the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) group. Chris has over 24 years of experience as both an occupational hygienist / safety consultant and in managing asbestos and lead remediation projects.
On behalf of Pinchin Ltd., Chris has conducted and managed over 3,800 projects including numerous large scale / high profile projects such as landmark studies for silica for the Government of Alberta and wood dust and noise for the Alberta Forest Products Association. He was responsible for overall site safety oversight for the CN Wabamun oil spill clean-up project. As OHS Practice Leader, Chris is responsible for overall company direction and oversight in the OHS group.
Chris is also a former instructor in occupational hygiene at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Extension, where he has taught for over 10 years.
